Default Elusive .dbx file.

I have a local folder in OE entitled, let's say, Fish. When
I click on it no email messages appear. If I go to "My
Computer" and work my way to the place where the .dbx files
are listed, there are two folders shown,

Fish.dbx, size of 75 KB
Fish (1).dbx, size of 137 KB

I can open each of them in Notepad, and amongst all the
garbage discern that the first one has one short email
message, and the other has a much longer email message. I'd
like a way to open each of these (or if only one is
possible, the larger one) in OE in a "normal" email format.

I'm using W/2000.

Any suggestions appreciated.

If the method we indicated previously did not work, then its not likely the
messages in those files (if they are messages) are intact. They could be
previously deleted messages and as such OE won't be able to read them. You
might get them partially using the recover mode feature of DBXtract or
DBXpress (see www.oehelp.com).
