Have been using OE without issue until today. Had settings that the preview
pane would not show message until clicked. Click on message and get a msoe.dll error which debugging does not fix. Causes OE to crash |

That suggests a improperly crafted HTML message (which may be hosting some
malware). Try disabling the Preview Pane (View/Layout and uncheck) and then see if you can delete the message which is probably not worth opening anyway. If it's from someone you trust and would like to communicate with, try sending them a message and ask them to resend the message using Plain Text for the formatting. Your choice. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Windows Mail Apps https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. ![]() The problem more specifically is as follows: Opened OE, clicked on previously downoaded message to view it (have settings so that preview pane does not show message unless clicked). Once clicking on message (either existing in inbox, or newly downloaded), I get a message asking if I want to send a error message to Microsoft, which includes a msoe.dll error. Upon further investigation, this ocurred in ALL folders, even local folders. "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM" wrote: "trumpeter48" wrote in message ... Have been using OE without issue until today. Go to File | Identities and set up a new Identity. Then make sure you see
points 2 and 3 he www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx. See if that fixes it. If so, you can use File | Import to import from the older Identity. steve "trumpeter48" wrote in message ...
