Or are you talking about Tools, Options, Compose in OE?
Are you using and Stationery? If so, which one? "ALL references on this forum" is too vague for use to know specifically what you have tried. You do have HTML selected? Did you read the links Michael sent?
If none of the links helped, you may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages and Address Book from the old identity and delete it. As Bruce said, you have to be using HTML format to be able to change
fonts, etc. in a message. You set your default for messages at Tools, Options, Send, HTML. Also, note the option there to "Reply to Messages in the format in which they were sent". If that is selected and you are replying to a plain text message, that overrides your setting to use HTML. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "neverontuesday" meadows28 wrote in message news ![]() "neverontuesday" wrote: Outlook Express 6.0. in Windows XP. I have two identities and both respond in the same manner. As soon as I type a letter my settings revert back to the default (black & 12). And yes, I understand the HTML setting plus all the other settings in the tool bar. I feel that somewhere - someplace I checked a block that's causing this problem. |

Problem resolved!!! Following the suggestion(s) on this forum I
went to Control Panel - Internet Options - Accessibility and unchecked everything there. Thanks for taking the time and sharing your knowledge.
