For the past couple of months, I have had no success sending either attached
or embedded .jpg files to my e-mail. I get a server timed-out message. I can receive e-mails with and without pictures and I can e-mail regular text e-mails with no problem. I have reduced the picture files to their smallest size, created a new e-mail account with the idea that the old one was damaged, set the time-out limit to the highest point - all with no success.Any suggestions? |

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer
of protection that eats up CPUs, slows down sending, and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A/V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. Suggestion: Turn off your anti-virus program's e-mail scanning feature.
It's not necessary and often causes this kind of trouble. You are still protected against viruses. --- Ted Zieglar "Backup is a computer user's best friend."
