I'm using WinXP SP2 and OE6 sp2. I want to back up my address book to a CD. When I clicked on
File/Export/Address Book, it gave me the choice of "MS Exchange Address Book" or "text file (comma separated values)". I selected MS Exchange Address Book and immediately got the message "Address Book Export Process Completed." Okay, that's fine but it didn't tell me where it was exported to! Can someone tell me how to find whatever it was that I just exported? Thank you. |

Hi Terry,
Exporting to Exchange or Outlook is meant to make it easy to transfer information to these programs installed on the same machine. The data is made available to the other program, but a file you can use is not created. I would suggest exporting as a comma-separated values (Windows) file. If OE might be used again also export as a WAB file. One caveat for a WAB file, there can be circumstances where all entries will not be exported -- they can be tied to an Outlook contacts list or other OE identity. More Information (Includes tip for exporting a CSV (*.csv) file) http://home.earthlink.net/~kuaytim/exportwab.htm -- Tim K. aka Kuay Tim MS-MVP - Outlook Express Lynnwood, WA * "Terry" wrote in message ...
