Just posted this on 'microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general' but realise
that this is a much 'busier' group, hope no-one minds:- Trying to help a friend (honest :-) ) who's ISP at home is BT, and who also wants to access her 'Workplace' email through OE6 from her home PC (receive and send) Given that her email address at work is 'like' (invented address but same format, where 'highstepxz.co.uk' is, I believe, a domain) I have no experience of this issue, but would like to help her. Is it possible to configure OE6 to allow her to do this or is some other software necessary? Would appreciate some help. dfrog |

Gulp, just got good answer from Michael Santovec in
microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general. Should have been more patient methinks :-) His response is below dfrog OE (or any mail program) can do it IF the work place network administrator allow it. It's up to them as to whether or not they make their mail servers available via the Internet. She needs to contact them to find out if it is possible and if so, they can provided instructions. Receiving is more likely to be allowed than sending. But she can always send via her home ISP. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "dfrog" wrote in message ...
