Default .exe file rejected

Hi,

When I attach an .exe file to an E-mail sent to a friend, he reports that he
cannot open it in Outlook Express.
Is there something he has enabled which could have this result?

Andy I.

You could try ZIPping it first.

He could try going to Tools | Options | Security and unchecking "Do not
allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".

: Andy I.

Got the answer to that one, Frank: He has never seen an .exe attachment
before.
I find it difficult to conduct an "interrogation" with my friend "at a
distance". I guess you have to know the right questions to ask. I don't
know how you MVP's do it, or have the patience.... You deserve a medal.
The final outcome of this one is that he now tells me he can now open ( I
mean execute....) the .exe file. How, he doesn't know...
All's well that ends well.

Thanks.
Andy I.
