Default Outlook... How to send large files as one?

Can anyone tell me how to send a file (less than 10Mb) without it being
automatically separated into 10 small sections?

Sorry for the simple question.

If you add a non text attachment to an email, the file has to be encoded as
text, this adds 33 1/3 % to the size of the attachment, so you are looking
at 13 MB.
If you put the file on a web site or FTP server, the file will be 10 MB.
Hopefully, the file is being sent to someone with DSL.
