My outlook was freezing over 2 certain messages, and now because I have
deleted messages before these ones, they are the newest ones in outlook, so when I open outlook it freezes and does nothing. What can I do? I have done an adawre search and removed them, a spyware search there were none, I am attempting to find if I have a virus, but haven't found any yet. Everything else in outlook worked fine except over 2 certain emails, which were from yahoo groups. Now I cannot even do anything in outlook because when it opens it is on those messages. I have tried searching my computer to try to find those messages and delete them another way, but cannot find them ![]() Thanks |

You need to open OE so it does not open to the inbox. To do that, you have
to edit the registry under this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Micro soft\Outlook Express\5.0 Where GUID is the Identity number. Find the value "Launch Inbox" and change it to zero. Then open OE and it should open okay. Then go to View | Layout and disable the Preview pane. Then you can go to the inbox and highlight the messages without opening them and delete them. steve "Mandii" wrote in message ...
