Have you restarted your machine since this started? If not, do so and
try.

Other than that, you may have a damaged identity especially if it is the
default Main Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new
one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages and Address
Book from the old identity and delete it.

Hi again Frank, I forgot to ask how do I get to my signature to delete
it? I
went to my profile as it's the most logical place, but no, it wasn't
there.
Do you happen to know? I guess when I created the signature I didn't
realize
it was going to have to "live" in such small quarters... LOL! I guess MS
with all the trillions they've made still don't want to give a little
more so
as to have a comfortable forum... Adela

Thank you Frank, I agree that this forum format is rather difficult to
handle, and I never liked the web emails anyway. One thing I'm going
to
do
is delete my signature as there's no room. )

I could do it on my OE though I don't like overburdening my email with
so
many additional messages. I ask myself, why I couldn't enter to post
here???

Anyway, I'm copying your information too and will try doing it from my
OE.
Thanks again. Adela

All I can suggest is that you not use that clunky Web interface. Use
Outlook Express.

In Outlook Express go to Tools | Accounts | Add (or New) | News.
Set up an account for this news server:

msnews.microsoft.com

The server is free and does not require you to logon. This news
server
carries over 2200 newsgroups related to Microsoft products and keeps
messages at least 30 days.

For more detail see

The problem is that few of those who answer most questions have tried
the
Web interface and don't like it (too clumsy and slow), so we don't know
much
about it. And aren't interested in learning. There are a few who use
it
who might answer this thread.
