My OLE will not allow me to create anymore folders....is there a limit to

You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main
Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it.
If all is well, you can import your messages and Address Book from the old
identity and delete it.

I had this exact same problem several months back. You may remember Bruce,
that was on of my problems you were trying to help me with. Shutting down
and rebooting did not fix the problem, nor did closing OE and reopening it.
It was very weird, but later in the day, I simply opened OE and tried
creating a new folder and it worked again. I originally thought there might
be some limit too. I do think I may have compacted all the folders before
trying to create a new one again, but not positive. I would try going thru
the folder compacting procedure and try creating a new folder afterwards.
If not, perhaps just leave it a while and try creating a folder again later
or tomorrow, a reboot first couldn't hurt either. I am no expert or MVP,
but I'm passing this on from my experience, as I spent a great deal of time
on this same problem and it seemed to start working again on its own
without me doing anything specific to fix it, so I'd hate to see you waste
a great deal of time also. Otherwise, follow Bruce's advice to create a new
identity

PS. if this is your real email address ) you should change it
to something like @invalid.net for use on these newsgroups or you can expect
to be bombarded by spam forever. I learned that the hard way too

invalid.net is a valid domain, all email sent to this address will get sent
and spam their inbox.

"ok" for what purpose? Do you realize that these parenthesized strings
are "comments"? Hence, they may *look* as if they are unusable
but in fact they may work no differently than their uncommented versions.

I guess that server doesn't implement that part of the RFC then.

OTOH I'm not even clear about how widely implemented RFC2822
is or should be.

It was mostly an ironic comment about its implications for some kinds
of antispamming techniques.

For what purpose? Nothing in OE help files warned me that I must be very
careful about this. I guess you mean because someone else will get the spam
that would have otherwise be targeted at me for inputting my real address
which I am also not warned about.

Well, Good! I have a good mind to change the address to something like
billgates@microsoft .com or someone elses address at microsoft so that they
will get bombarded with spam, and maybe wake up to how the spammers are
harvesting off their own network and put a fix to it.

Maybe we should all make our addresses appear that way to send them the
message. So long as the spam ain't being targeted at me. Thanks for the
great idea Kath. Now let me see if I can find a good email address at
microsoft to copy hahahaha
