I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound obtuse but when you state to delete the
account are you referring to the primary account or just the one associated with that particular identity? You also stated that the WPSS is locatetd in the registry; as I'm not opposed to tweaking the registry a smidge where might it be found? "Tom Koch" wrote: "cbcrocker" wrote in message ... Sorry to piggy back on this thread but I get the same message but on only one of my three identities; the other two work just fine. I've tried deleting the offending identity and recreating it using a different identity name but without any luck. Would I need to start from scratch with my accounts? OE stores usernames and passwords in Window's Protected Storage Service (also called pstore). If the entry in the pstore part of the registry is incorrect, the best way to fix it is simply to delete the account, log off and back on so that the registry is guaranteed to be updated, and the create the account from scratch. -- Tom Koch, former MVP for IE/Outlook Express 1997-2005 http://www.insideoe.com Awareness is free. |
