Default Outlook Express Error Number: 0x800CCC92

You know, now that I think about it this happened to me once before a while
back. After spending hours on SBC tech support calls with help desk personnel
in India THEY got upset with me and got quite "snippy" because I couldn't
understand their variation of English although they had Anglicized names.
They finally agreed to escalate my call and I actually got a guy in
California who immediately new what the problem was. He contacted their
server folks and within 12 hours it was ectified. I never did learn what the
exact issue was but in that case it affected all my identities not just 1 out
of 3 like now. I suspect since my email download times are very respectable
on the 2 good identities there is infact something amiss with the third. I
too have tried the route of creating new identities without any luck as each
new identity has the same issues. At this point it's somewhat moot because of
the corrupted address book issue I also face and their being no way to
actually reinstall OE6. When you attempt it through Add/Remove Programs all
it actually does is to disable and re-enable the program, it never actually
uninstalls/reinstalls OE6.

At this point I've about given up on it all and I'm going to use Outlook
2003. OE6 is ust too unstable, especially when there is a large number of
emails stored in various folders. I am afraid though that all this has
damaged some DLLs since when I run sfc /scannow it's wanting an install disk
so that it can replace the suspect ones. But guess what?!; HP doesn't supply
OS install disks s they just want yo to restore back to the point where you
took it of the box after purchase - not an option at this point. I've heard
you can go in and hack the registry to change the sourcepath to point to the
i386 cab file since when sfc is asking for the disk there is not an option to
browse to another location. I was going to try that tonight.

Anyway, back to the orignal issue of the error code you've referenced;
contact your provider and don't stop untill you get to someone who actually
knows what is going on. I lucked out the last time so maybe you can too. Good
luck.

The problem may not have been on your PC or Outlook Express. The slow
download is an indication the issue was not local. Sometimes it's hard to
tell without using another PC to verify a connection problem. Often it's
best to calm oneself when facing such a problem. I know from experience that
panic can set in. A key question is what may have happened to cause an
issue, such as a crash or power failure. If nothing comes to mind there is a
good chance the problem lies elsewhere.

I am not sure what is going on now. It seems to be working, downloads took
a little time. I got a few errors, but just got out of OE then back in.
Seems
to be working so far????

I have no idea what to do. I have even tried recovering my whole system's
data(which worked for a few hours) It shows a password in the box, but
will
not accept it. I have tried retyping it. Deleting user. Nothing seems to
work. Thanks for any help??

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was
rejected. Account: 'mail.clearwire.net', Server: 'mail.clearwire.net',
