I'll try to explain this as best I can [I'm late for work already and will
have to review replies later]. As of yesterday, I can not access the internet thru a link in my email. When I click on a link, it starts to open the IE window then it closes [very fast, one second it's starting to open then it's gone]. As a test, I sent myself an email with a link to eBay. Can't open it from OE but if I save the link to my desktop and click on it, it works fine. As is usually the case, I haven't changed any settings prior to this happening. Any suggestions??? TIA dpm |

Thanks for the response. I tried these suggestions and a whole lot more,
including going back to five days ago with System Restore. It finally hit me that when it started to bring up the link then disappear, it was almost like blocking a pop-up window. My pop-up blocker had been working just fine [have used the same one for about 2 months now] but in back tracking, I found that it had auto-updated from version 4.3 to 4.4 yesterday and guess what [yep, there's the problem]. After deleting the program from the system, everything works fine again. Have emailed the blocker support to either get a fix, or a download back to the earlier version. I gotta remember to stop these automatic updates when I install the programs. Thanks again for the reply. dpm "Jim Pickering" jimp (AT) mvps.org wrote in message ... Glad to hear you found the cause. Spam programs, antivirus programs,
spyware guardians, popup blockers, etc., all seem to cause unusual problems for Outlook Express. That may be the major disadvantage to the MS decision to split the IE team apart from the OE team of developers. The integration appears to be disintegrating right before our eyes. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Windows Mail Apps "dpm" wrote in message ... Thanks for the response.
