This will move the mail to Outlook Express on the laptop.
You can export to Outlook. In OE, Tools, Options, Maintenance tab, Store Folder button, right click, Select All, right click, copy. Close OE. Start, Run, right click, Paste. OK NOTE: in XP the dbx files may be hidden, in My Computer, Tools, Folder Options, View tab, check Show hidden files. Move the files to a new folder on the new computer. Highlight all of the files and make sure the Read Only attribute is not set. Open OE, File, Import, Messages, OE6, Message store directory, then browse to the new folder. This will move the account settings to OE. Tools, Accounts, Mail tab, highlight the account, Export. Move the export file to laptop. Open OE, Tools, Accounts, Mail tab, Import. Now, you can open Outlook and import the account settings. -- Ronald Sommer "CasDeTroy" wrote in message ... : Hi There, : : I really need help in getting this done. : : i have to move my supervisors email to his neww lappy and I am at a loss. : : Please help.
