I am awaiting receipt of a promo code from a website. To date I don't think I have had any difficulties in receiving email but notice that when I click on the send/receive button to refresh the site I get the green bars suggesting a mail is in transit but then nothing appears. I understand I should receive the code almost instantaneously.

I don't know what the problem is - It is not on my block sender list. I have gone via Orange webmail to see if anything has been caught there - No!

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Contact the promo site and tell them, maybe you entered an incorrect email
address into their form?
You will also see the indication of mail coming in if you are set to leave
messages on your server.

Perhaps your ISP is blocking them?

What does the text above the green bars say? If it says "Receiving
List of Messages" but doesn't actually show messages being download
(e.g. 1 of 10, 2 of 2, etc.), then OE found messages on the server but
decided not to download any of them. This can be due to message rules
with an action of Delete from Server or Do Not Download, or if you are
leaving a copy of messages on the server (Tools, Accounts, Mail,
Properties, Advanced) that the messages have been previously downloaded.
