Default Bring Internet Explorer to Front

Is there a setting or something to make Internet Explorer come to the front
when I click a link in Outlook Express? If Internet Explorer isn't open yet
it will, but if it's open, it just stays in the back, how do I make it come
to the front automatically?

It automatically comes to the front for me.

It looks like you are using Windows XP SP2. Is that correct?

Are you using IE6 or IE7?

When you click the link is IE opening a new window for the link or
reusing the existing window?

Check you file association against the settings he

Well here's my reply without the attachment.

Yes, I have win XP SP2. I'm actually using IE 7 now but it was the same with
IE6. It's never the same, sometimes a link opens a new window and sometimes
it doesn't, and for the same link too! Also, sometimes the window comes to
the front but most of the time it doesn't.

My DDE info (see attachment) for an Internet shortcut is way different than
what's on that link you gave me, so maybe I shouldn't change it unless maybe
I could tweak it a little? I can't imagine why anyone would click on a link
and not want the window to come to the front every time so this isn't by
design is it? Is there a registry setting for this?

Only if the message and attachment combined exceeds 1 MB will it be
blocked. Otherwise it should have been posted unless it contained language
that the filters considered inappropriate.

And I have no idea what language the filters consider inappropriate.

FWIW, I'll add a little graphic at the end of the text, just so you can see
that it is possible.

You did check under Tools/Options/Send, and click News and HTML button and
make sure that the box to Send pictures with messages is checked.

Your path info reads:
Path:
sn-us!sn-feed-sjc-03!sn-xt-sjc-11!sn-xt-sjc-09!sn-xt-sjc-14!supernews.com!newsfeed.news2me.com!cycny01.gnil ink.net!spamkiller.gnilink.net!gnilink.net!trnddc0 3.POSTED!eec1f11e!not-for-mail

One or more of those servers drop "misplaced binaries" (messages with
attachments in non-binary groups). I know for a fact that Supernews does.

I didn't send a HTML message, it was a plain text message with an
attachment. I've been posting Usenet messages with attachments, almost on a
daily basis for ten years, I know how to do it, lol .

Well I don't know what your point is but there's nothing wrong on my end
.. I'm not really concerned about attachments in this group either, they post
just fine everywhere else, what I want to know is how to get my web browser
to come to the front when I click on a url in an Outlook Express news
message.
