My subject says it all. Was able to import all my email messages. Was even
able to set up my current newsgroup. But, when it shows newsgroup messages downloaded and read, the preview pane looks blank. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance, Candy |

Newsgroup messages do not import.
Are you saying that you have downloaded newsgroup messages and they don't show in the Preview Pane? -- Ronald Sommer "Candy" wrote in message ... : My subject says it all. Yes, that is exactly what I said. Now they don't show up in either identity.
How do I fix that? Regular email messages don't show up there, either. HELP!!! Thanks, Candy "Ron Sommer" wrote: Newsgroup messages do not import. I don't know what happened or why, but I closed and reopened OE6, and now
suddenly my messages show up in the preview pane. If I didn't spend all this money on this nice new computer, I'd throw it out my second-storey window. Hold your breath, everyone, while I find the next problem . . . Candy "Candy" wrote: Yes, that is exactly what I said. Now they don't show up in either identity. How do I fix that? I live on the first floor. My computer barely gets scratched when I throw it

According to your headers, you are posting through the Web Interface and not
OE. If you were, or want to use OE for newsgroups, you have to set that up again. Newsgroups do not export or import unless you clone your identity. In View | Current View - Check: Show all messages & Group messages by conversation. Tools | Options | Read. Uncheck: Get XXX headers at a time. Then, right click on the newsgroup in the Folder Tree | Properties | Local File | Reset. Switch to another folder and then back and all available messages will be downloaded again. You're right. I'm doing these problems on the web, and I had a totally
unrelated problem that I was doing by downloaded to my OE newsgroup. But, I think that is now taken care of by my simply turning off OE and turning it back on. REMAINING QUESTION: Is there any quick way to transfer all the data on each of my email addresses without having to re-set-up each on individually? See the post I just replied to. Is that the data you are referring to?
I think it would be easier if we keep this all in one thread. Let's use Toolbar in OE6 doesn't work for the remainder. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Candy" wrote in message ...
