Why is it that on some emails that I've sent or received I can't print just
what I've "selected"? I go to FILE/PRINT and SELECTION is grayed out. So far, the only emails I've noticed which have the problem are some that involve a reply, and all are emails to the same particular person. Jack |

Did you Highlight the selection and then choose Print | Selection?
If you have, your last note that all are emails to the same particular person may be a clue. Try highlighting the selection you wan and Copy. Open a new message window and Paste. Ctrl+F3 will save a copy to Drafts. Go to Drafts and while viewing in the Preview Pane, see if you can print from there. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Jack B" wrote in message ... Bruce,
Did you Highlight the selection and then choose Print | Selection? Yes. may be a clue. Yeah, but I can't figure what. Try highlighting the selection you wan and Copy. Well sure, I could always Forward (since I want the header), copy & paste it into Word and print. But what would make OE gray out the Print | Selection? From your OP:
So far, the only emails I've noticed which have the problem are some that involve a reply, and all are emails to the same particular person. Sounds like this is the problem, but how can they involve a reply if you haven't replied? If you click Reply to a message and then want to print it, Print will be grayed out. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Jack B" wrote in message ... Upon further research, the problem is not restricted to one person's email,
nor only replies. Instead, it has something to do with images in the email. Apparently, certain images in the text body prevent the Print | Selection from functioning. So far, this has been found with both GIF and JPG images. However, not all messages with an image have the problem!? Jack -------------------------------- "Jack B" wrote in message ...
