I am not sure why you are installing OE6 since it came with your XP
operating system, and I have never seen this before. However............... Go to: StartRunRegeditOK and find this key. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID for Identity \Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0. In the right hand pane and find *Compact Check Count* and set the value to what you are requested to do. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "sbfh" wrote in message ... That's an old setting.
Look in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{guid}\Software\Micro soft\Outlook Express\5.0\News for the key Cache Compact Percent and give it a value between 5 and 100. The {guid} will vary depending on your installation -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "sbfh" wrote in message ... I'm not sure. I've only had a little access to the Mac OE and that was
a few years ago. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "PA Bear" wrote in message ... Just trying to set it up the way I want it and it won't let me due to the
bizarre request. I actually like to customize and not just use the default. This is not in my registry. I checked and my CS major DS checked it. Any
other ideas? Thanks. "Michael Santovec" wrote: That's an old setting. Then try adding the key with a value in the specified range. It won't
hurt and it might help. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "sbfh" wrote in message ... This is not in my registry. I checked and my CS major DS checked it.
