I'm having problems with some of my NG's. When I "Synchronize All" some
NG's update fine. On others (about 15), I get the following message:

Your 'alt.windows98' folder was not polled for its unread count. Account:
'news.frontiernet.net', Server: 'news.frontiernet.net', Protocol: NNTP,
Server Response: '480 Authentication Required', Port: 119, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 480, Error Number: 0x800CCCA4

I've never seen anything like this before. Does anyone know if this is a
problem with Outlook, the server, or what? Can anyone suggest a cure?

That means that the news server wants you to logon. That is specified
in OE at Tools, Accounts, News, Properties, Server. Since this appears
to be your ISP's news server, typically the name and password required
is the same as your ISP logon.
