Hello- I am new to this newsgroup idea, and am doing so for a class. Could
someone please respond so I know I am doing this correctly?!

Well, your post went through OK, so you have the basic drift.

#1: In Tools | Accounts | News | Properties | General, munge your e-mail
address. EX: if this was your correct one, change it to something like
lid Spammers harvest e-mail addresses from newsgroups as
well as many other places.
