Default OE 6 Data Base Q

Nearby neighbor is cursed with an older Dell running
Win98SE, using Mindspring, IE and OE6.

All over sudden -- a short time after starting OE6, they
get a nastygram: "MSIMN.EXE caused a page fault in
DIRECTDB.DLL". I have replaced both MSIMN.EXE and
DIRECTDB.DLL. Problem persists.

I'm guessing that there is a data base record problem
in the email index for OE6, but since I am a mozilla
user, I don't know what to look for.

Is there an email index file I can delete such that OE6
will regen it??

thanks 'n all

nick
