I have IE 7 and OE 6.0029.
I don't remember if this started happening before or after I upgraded to IE 7, but I cannot change the font size in OE messages I compose. It defaults to 12 and cannot be changed. I can change the font from Arial to any other style, but not matter what font style I use I cannot change the size. Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can fix it? Sid |

If you are using stationery, some default to a specific font and size.

No stationery selected. In fact on that same options page it shows that new
mail should default to Arial 10, and yet I am stuck on 12. I did try changing to various sizes and on this option page, but it made no difference. "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... In Tools | Options | Compose, are your choices as you want them there?
In Stationery, Blank is not selected either? You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages and Address Book from the old identity and delete it. None of your suggestions about identities worked, but I checked out the link
you suggested below which I repasted he OLEXP: Cannot Change Text Format Using Outlook Express: http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q178895 and this solved the problem. It had to do with an accessibility option that was checked that "ignored font sizes specified by webpages" or something like that. I cleared that check mark and all is well. Funny thing is I don't recall selecting that option in the past, but nevertheless it was selected... Thanks. Sid "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... You're welcome.
I have seen boxes get checked, or unchecked. for no explainable reason. All I can say is *Windows Happens*. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Sid" wrote in message ...
