Only when I select text in my email messages with attachments does my text

I do not know what happened to change this as it never use to do it.

thanks, Sherry

Outlook Express uses the same print engine as Internet Explorer.

For print size: IE | View | Text Size | Make adjustment.

If I select certain text and print an email without attachment or images in
the email the text prints normal...which I have set at medium. If I select
text in an email with image or attachment the text prints extremely small.
This only happens with emails that have images or attachments.
I have both IE and OE6 set at medium font.

Are you using IE7? If you are, check the IE General newsgroup and see if
there are similar problems there. I do know some have reported changes in
printing e-mail after IE7, but do not know all the details.

I have a feeling IE7 has become a nuisance. Would you suggest I uninstall
it? Thank you very much for the advice.

I would post to the IE General newsgroup first to see if this is a problem
that can be rectified.

Of course, you can remove IE7 if you wish.

OE has always used the IE print engine, and IE7 features Shrink To Fit (STF)
printing. When you print an IE page, STF can be disabled but not when
you're printing an OE message. The IE team is aware of the problem and is
working on a fix.

(Possible) Workarounds include:

Switch to (Tools Options Read ) Read all messages in Plain Text
/before/ opening the message to print it (the JPEGS will not be printed).

Forward the message to yourself but delete the attachment(s) before Sending
(the JPEGS will not be printed).

Disable the "preview" of attached images in a separate section below the
message body (which also disables the 'Read all messages in Plain Text'
option): http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/slideshow.htm
