Default DSL Disconnect

I'm a user of OE6 with all updates installed. Win XP prof xp2 with all
updates installed.

I use OE6 and after about 10-15 minutes I am disconnected.

I'm using Verizon DSL and a Westell model 6100 modem. Checking The modem I
show down 1216 kbits/sec by 704 kbits/sec. The ppp status is "up". Still at
this point I am unable to send or receive email or view a web site.

In order to get back on I have to reboot. Then everything works for the same
length of time. This is a fairly new happening for about the last 2 months.
Before that I never had a problem.

One other thing: When I check in Control Panel -- Network connections it
shows Verizon DSL as disconnected but Local Area Connection connected.

Any help and assistance appreciated.

Regards,

Default DSL Disconnect

Check your settings in Outlook Express at Tools, Accounts, Mail/News,
Properties, Connection for each mail and news account. One or more of
the accounts may be set to always dial a specific connection. Also look
at Tools, Options, Connection for Hang up after sending and receiving.
