Default Emailing MP3 Files

Whenever I try to send an MP3 file (as little as 4MB) it "times out" even
though the setting is at 5 minutes. I (and the recipient) both have a
fiberoptic connection (3mbps-5mbps upstream), so I can't understand why
these are "timing out".

I "zipped" them and they went successfully. Hopefully will know later today
if they were received successfully.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Any error message?

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer
of protection that eats up CPUs, slows down sending and receiving, and
causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes
and has even been responsible for lose of messages. Your up-to-date A/V
program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see:

Default Emailing MP3 Files

File attachments have to be encoded as text which increases the file size by
33 1/3 %.
Can you upload to a Web site and just send a link?
