OS:XP Pro, OE6.
When I try to send an MP3 as an attachment (3meg), I get this: A time-out occurred while communicating with the server. Subject 'vvv', Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'SMTP.COMCAST.NET', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19 I've increased the time out span to 3min with no change. I can send other files ie: photos larger in size, with no problems. Any ideas and thoughts are appreciated. Thanks. Bob |

Do you have your anti-virus set to scan outgoing mail? That's
unnecessary and can cause problems sending attachments. It could be that the anti-virus is skipping image files but trying to virus check the MP3 files. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "BobtheBassplayer" wrote in message ... You know what Mike? I did try that and it still did the same thing. I just
went back in and tried disabling once again and it worked. Maybe I didn't save my settings the first time I did it, Thanks for your help. I'm glad that helped.
It seems that computers often have a mind of their own and settings seem to get changed for no apparent reason or changes don't seem to stick. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "BobtheBassplayer" wrote in message ...
