Default receive only from addresses

Hey folks,

I've set up email accounts for my kids, and yesterday, for one account, I
checked the option for "only receive messages from people in my address
book", or something very close.

Today, for the life of me, I cannot locate that option again for my other
son. It's driving me crazy!

There's no such option in Outlook Express.

If you are using some sort of web mail (Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc.),
there may be a setting on the web site for the account.

Wrong Michael. This option is available through the use of Message Rules.
Use the Rule for "contains people" Then the Address Book and select all your addresses.
Then go to option and choose "does not contain"
Then select "delete from server" as an action.

You can add people from your address book to the rule, but that's a one
time set up. Every time you add or remove someone from the address
book, you have go back and manually update the rule. There is no
dynamic link between the rule and the address book.

The phrasing the original poster used leads me to believe that it was
another program where the setting was made.

I know nothing about Norton, except that I would never use it as it can
cause numerous problems with OE.

That said, did you check the other replies? Any message rule created? I
don't believe Norton has that option.

I believe there is such an option at the Hotmail Web site, but there is no
such option in OE.
