Again , Thank you for guiding me. As you say I was looking in the wrong
program. In my neophite meandering I finally caught on to what I was looking
at and realized I was in the wrong program. I have since unchecked the
approiate item and we'll see what effect it has on my normal coorespondence
with my email community. Again THANK MUCH!!!

You are looking in the wrong program. "Internet Options" means you are
looking in IE. In OE it is at Tools, OPTIONS.

The setting you are looking for is in all version of OE6 since the
original.

OLEXP: Using Virus Protection Features in OLEXP 6 and SP1
(OE removed access to the unsafe attachments in your email)

I am using XP Pro Ver 5.1 (build 2600.xpsp2.050301-1526 : service
pack1)
OE6 (6.00.2800.1807) This is on my laptop as I am using it since my
desktop
crashed. OE is blocking attachments to emails and any graphics that
are a
part of the email. With OE open I have selected "tools" - "internet
options"
- "security tab" but I do not have an option to mark or unmark "to
allow
attachments". I hope this makes my question clearer ???

That is only for XP/SP2. You ask what to do next, but you haven't
stated
your problem. Include your Windows version.

I have reviewed the messages that explain, to some degree, the
issue. I am
confused as I follow the steps - tools - options - security tab -
but I
don't have the same options as shown on the example. I can't
uncheck an
option that I don't have on the screen. What to do next ????

You are welcome.

Even us not-so-neophytes can go meandering and not get where we want to
be.
