Has happened a couple times before. Started a message and had to go to a meeting, so
dropped it into the Drafts folder and shut down OE. Later, received a response from addressee. Checked the Drafts folder and sent messages and, sure enough, it was sent. Is that the way it's supposed to work? "Help" is silent. rs |

Are you closing with the X and answering yes to Save to Drafts?

Yes and no. I never close with an open message. Well, almost never.

I was asking how you closed the message composition window.
File, Close or clicking the X will get "Do you want to save changes to this message?" Answering yes will save to Drafts. If you File, Save, then you have to File, Close or click the X to close the message composition window. -- Ronald Sommer "tcebob" handle @ gwi.net wrote in message ... : Yes and no. Messages never get sent from drafts until you explicitly open the
message again (double click it) and then send it from the message composition window. When you look back after the problem, are you still seeing a copy of the message in the Drafts? Be sure to select View, Current View, Show all messages? If the message is still there, then you may have done a File, Save (Ctrl-S) which saves to Drafts but leaves the message composition window open and then accidentally sent the message. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "tcebob" handle @ gwi.net wrote in message ... Now *there's* a possibility. I just saved this and you're right: it doesn't close the
window. rs "Michael Santovec" wrote in message ... : Messages never get sent from drafts until you explicitly open the : message again (double click it) and then send it from the message : composition window. : : When you look back after the problem, are you still seeing a copy of the : message in the Drafts?
