Default how to set messages as read

I use Win XP Home Edition and OE 6

I use several PCs. Can someone be kind enough to tell me how do I set all
of my incoming/outgoing messages as all "read" (finished reading) without
having to select each mail one by one?

Thank you.

For e-mail, click on any message header to highlight the header | Ctrl+A to
highlight all messages | Right click | Mark As Read. I don't believe you can
mark messages as read except for the PC you are currently on.

Default how to set messages as read

Hello

I have already tried that but it does not work. I forgot to mention that my
emails are IMAP accounts.

There is a function to mark all messages as "read" on Outlook so it works on
Outlook, however with Outlook Express, selecting all the messages and
clicking on "mark all messages as read" does not work.

Any other solution?

IMAP accounts are not my forte. Please keep checking back for an answer from
someone with more IMAP experience.

Let me clarify:

Regular mailbox (not IMAP) would work by selecting the messages and marking
them as "read" but this function does not work on IMAP accounts.

MS Outlook Express does not have the ability to interact with the IMAP
server as does MS Outlook.

Perhaps I am being obtuse but if I open the Inbox in Outlook
Express and give CTRL-SHFT-A, the messages are marked as read. A
similar action works for news groups.

Hello

On regular email messages selecting messages and marking them as "read"
works but not on IMAP mail boxes. And that is why I was asking for a
solution.

I guess there isn't as someone responded saying Outlook Expres does not
intereact with IMAP accounts.

Many thanks for all of your comments.

Forget my reply; I was talking about POP3 not IMAP.

Most users here are talking about POP3 unless they state otherwise.
