I'm an ocassional user of IE6... principally for computer help from
newsgroups. I've been ignoring an MS popup window asking if I wanted to compress files but inadvertantly answered "Yes". Subsequently, a message in an MS Outlook BCM forum "disappeared"; probably some other old ones as well. Can someone please tell me were I can find that archive and what I have to do to view it again? |

Outlook Express deletes messages when the news server does. To avoid
the problem in the future, copy any news posts that you want to keep to a Local Folder in OE. To find an old post no longer on the news server, you'll need to go to a web archive site, such as http://groups.google.com/ -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "jaygreg" wrote in message ... Thanks, Michael. I trust that "Local Folders" are those so marked in the
Folders view and NOT those that fall directly under the the listed user groups I subscribe to? P.S. Thanks, Tina. Your heart was in the right place... I think. "Michael Santovec" wrote in message ...
