My sister has a new PC (supplied by Dell), no scary software downloads but 36
months Mcafee supplied as part of the package. Every time I configure her
Outlook Express 6 the mail works fine. However when you re-boot the PC the
incoming mail server defaults to 127.0.0.1 - loopback. I've done this
repeatedly with the same result every time, her ISP blames Mcafee but I do
not understand how the firewall would actually modify the incoming mail
server settings.

Also from one of the accounts I've set up on her machine it simply will not
send at all. I've checked the accounts on web mail and all appears fine, I've
checked the firewall and full access is permitted, have even switched it off
but no change.

Have I made a basic error or is it about time to consider un-installing and
re-installing OE6. Advice would be appreciated.
