Default Outbox

Hi, I tried to send a lot of holiday photos to my daughter but the file was
far to big, the problem is that when I connect It tries to send every time,
I have even left it on over night but it never sends, when I go to the
outbox to try and delete it the sign comes up not responding and the screen
freezes and I have to reboot.
Can I uninstall outlook express outbox or the hole outlook express or try
and install over the top, any ideas

Default Outbox

Close the Preview pane and then try deleting it from Outbox. If no joy:

1. Tools Options Maintenance Store folder will reveal the location of
your current Identity's store
(http://www.insideoe.com/files/store.htm#storemain). Write it down.

In WinXP, Win2K and Win2K03, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default
marked as hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable Show
Hidden Files and Folders under Start Control Panel Folder Options
View.

2. Move anything in Sent Items and Deleted Items that you want to keep into
one or more other local folders you've created for this purpose.

3. Close OE.

4. In Windows Explorer, navigate to your store, find and delete Outbox.dbx,
Sent Items.dbx and Deleted Items.dbx.

5. Open OE and compact all folders
(http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm#compact).

General OE Caveats:

- Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose.

- Empty Deleted Items folder daily.

- Disable Background Compacting [not available in SP2] and frequently
perform a manual compact of all OE folders while "working offline". More at
http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm

- WinXP SP2 only: Do not shut down your machine while Windows is
automatically compacting your message store.

- Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause such
corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
