I use OE6 for all my email, which includes my business email address. I
want to set up an autoresponder for when I'm away, but only to reply to my business mail. The other thing is I use Kaspersky to deal with the many spam emails I get every day. I tried using 'message rules', but that only allows me to respond to all the email that comes in, that's to the non-business addresses and to all the spam (so I had about 200 'sent' emails autoresponding to spam). any ideas? The business is a separate account/address?
Where the message is from the specified account. Reply with message & Stop processing more rules Click on Specified Account an select your business account. Add the message Obviously by now you have seen the downside to this. Replying to spam at best will only generate more spam and also can cause a continuos loop bringing you undelivered mail messages from the Postmaster. Many ISPs provide this feature. You might want to check with them. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Ian Smith" wrote in message ... I use OE6 for all my email, which includes my business email address. Thanks Bruce,
Being a bit dim I don't exactly understand these instructions Where the message is from the specified account. Reply with message & Stop processing more rules Click on Specified Account an select your business account. Add the message And, yes, this is exactly what I got: generate more spam and also can cause a continuos loop bringing you undelivered mail messages from the Postmaster. Waiting for a reply from my ISP & from Kaspersky too Cheers Ian |

Thanks Bruce, all makes sense now.
Funnily the instructions I used when I did this myself were the exact same 'cyberwalker' link you've posted. It's what to tick that you've clarified for me. Ian "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ...
