Some programs fake email addresses then then other servers send out error
messages to the faked address and that's what you are seeing. Just ignore it. steve "Andy" [email protected] wrote in message ... Hi, I received an E-Mail, SUBJECT "Re Phone Number", FROM . The message reads: "This message has been processed by Symantec's AntiVirus Technology. phone_number4.pif was infected with the malicious virus W32.Sality.U and has been deleted because the file cannot be cleaned. For more information on antivirus tips and technology, visit http://ses.symantec.com/" I find it a little strange because 1. I understood that Microsoft didn't send E-Mails. 2. I don't have Norton or Symantec on my computer. Is this "for real"? Did Microsoft use Symantec (Norton) AV? I would very much appreciate an explanation. Andy I. (WIN XP SP2; IE/OE 6) P.S. I haven't gone to the URL's. |

It's malicious spam; delete it and forget it. You're right, microsoft
wouldn't send such an e-mail. Pop` Andy wrote: Hi, I received an E-Mail, SUBJECT "Re Phone Number", FROM .
