Many Forwarded messages are messy and I have been copying and editing them
before forwarding. I cannot do this since downloading IE 7

Also if a message has been forwarded twice and requires a second click to
open OE 6 will not open it and gives me a non-recoverable error

Taking your second question first:
OLEXP: Unable to Open EML File Attachments in Outlook Express
(Fixing the EML File Association)
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=312355

Regarding your first problem, what exactly is happening? I gather that
you are trying to highlight some text in a message, then copy/paste it
to another program. How far do you get before you have a problem?

Try Tools, Options, Read, Read All Messages in Plain text. Switch to
another message, then back if you want to try this on the currently
viewed message. Does this work any better?

Then you may have a very outdated version of Outlook Express. A visit
to Windows Update is in order.

Look at Help, About Outlook Express. What version does it report?
