Default FIRE WALL???

SunflowerIs there any way to FLAG messages in your news groups. like highlight it or star it.

and also, I have been trying to use the watch tool, with the eye glasses but it won't let me select one thread at a time, every time I try to select a single email to watch it keeps selecting multiples.

Default FIRE WALL???

This is from the OE help file (Help, Contents and Index)

1) To flag an e-mail or news message

When you receive a message, you can flag it for later reference.

In the main window, click in the flag column next to the message you
want to flag.
-or-

In the main window, select the message you want to flag and from the
Message menu, click Flag Message.

Notes:
- You can sort all flagged messages and group them together by clicking
the flag icon in the header of the flag column.
- You can remove the flag from a message by clicking the flag icon.
- You can define a rule that flags certain messages when they are
received.

Note: you may have to go into View, Columns and add the FLAG column (my
note, not in the help file)

2) To watch a conversation
In both e-mail and newsgroups, you can watch a conversation that is of
particular interest you. A conversation is an original message and all
its replies.

Flag a message by clicking in the Flag column beside the message.
Flag multiple messages at a time by clicking in the Flag column beside
a contracted subthread (e.g. represented by [+] in a box). Keyboard
equivalent command is Alt-M,a

and also, I have been trying to use the watch tool, with the eye glasses
but it won't let me select one thread at a time, every time I try to select
a single email to watch it keeps selecting multiples.

Assuming there's a typo in "it won't let me select one thread at a time"
you can mark a single message watched in two ways:

1. open the message in its own window and use the Message menu
(e.g. Alt-M,t)

2. Temporarily turn off Group Messages by Conversation and mark the
message using any procedure you like, including clicking in the Watched
column beside the message. So, possible keystrokes (which would be
great if you had some way of recording and using a keyboard macro) a
Alt-V,V,G Alt-M,t Alt-V,V,G. That method could be used without marking
the message read. If that isn't a problem you could simply open the message
and mark it, without changing your view option; e.g. Ctrl-o, Alt-M,t, Esc
And, if you preferred that method of marking but you still wanted the message
left in an unread state you could just mark in unread after you finished flagging it:
Alt-E,n
