accounts. I have followed work around instructions and deleted mail box, called isp and have checked all settings. checked firewall settings and outlook express is exempt. outgoing virus for mails is turned off. I still cannot send email using outlook express 6, am also using IE 7. The following message is typical, only the isp names change. dshadow06,
Is this message being sent to multiple receipients, such as a mailing list? If so, then your ISP may limit how addresses, can be added to the messages TO:, CC:, BCC: Line. This is usually around 25 receipients per message, as an anti-spamming measure. Some ISP's allow more or less. The address listed in the error message, may be the address that puts it over the limit. Try breaking up your mailing lists into smaller groups. If you have an AOL or AIM mail acct, you can add that account to OE6, using the following settings. In OE TOOLS Accounts Mail Accts Add button Follow the wizard to create an "IMAP" acct. Use the following server settings: Incoming Server: imap.aol.com OR imap.aim.com Outgoing Server: smtp.aol.com OR smtp.aim.com Using your AOL/AIM userid and password. No, just a single address. The key problem seems to be that it's a differant
isp. "Rich/rerat" wrote: dshadow06, Is this message being sent to multiple receipients, such as a mailing list? dshadow06,
1. Have you check with your ISP, and see if they are being blocked by AOL? AOL may have an issue with your ISP, and not letting any mail through sent by your ISP. 2. Have you tried sending the message through Charter.net's webmail interface? If the message goes through, then it is probably an OE setting that needs to be changed. 3. If you are sending mail through a Charter.net account, you may be required to be connected to Charter.net service. If you use a different ISP, you will need to change the SMTP setting to match that ISP's outgoing server. Also select Outgoing server needs logon for authentication, in the mail acct's server setting tab. Under the Advance button there, use the ISP connection userid and password settings. 4. You may want to check Charter.net's help pages or contact them directly, and see if the have a different server or port settings for business traveler's. Sometimes they use a different port than "25" for these individuals. And it might work for you. -- Add MS to your News Reader: news://msnews.microsoft.com Rich/rerat (RRR News) message rule Previous Text Snipped to Save Bandwidth When Appropriate "dshadow06" wrote in message ...
