Default Embedding SOUND in Outlook Express....?

Using OUTLOOK EXPRESS... I am able to embed sound into an email by
choosing FORMAT--SOUND and then choosing the file.

Now... If I put in a MIDI, my friends that also have OE can hear it
playing in the background however if I inset another file, such as a
wave or MP3... although I can hear it while I'm sending it... they
cannot hear these files.

The same goes if they send a background sound embedded into an email
to me. If it's a MIDI, I hear it no problem but I cannot hear the
wavs or MP3s.

Is there a reason for this? I can hear MP3s and WAVs on my PC, but
not embedded into an email.

How can I set it up to hear these files playing in the background, and
also for my friends to hear them in the background when I send them?

Thanks in advance.

D.

It won't work with MP3s. However, if its not working with WAVs, then go to
control panel | Sounds and check your devices volume settings and see if one
of them is set to mute.
