Default comcast e-mail

This is confusing...

I am receiving some e-mail from the outside, however, when I send myself an e-mail to my comcast account via of my comcast account, it does not come through.

Also, when I send an e-mail via another account I have to my comcast e-mail, it does not go through, either. The one I sent via comcast to a comcast account did not show up in my sent items either.

I did just re-install Macafee onto my laptop. I had Norton, but it expired.

I am thinking it has something to so with my settings, but I still get some outside e-mail.

Norton and McAfee are the worst AV programs you can use with Outlook Express. They both screw it up.

I suggest AVG Free:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5
or:
http://www.grisoft.com/doc/40/lng/ww

When prompted, choose Custom Installation and *uncheck* e-mail scanning when you see the option.

Avast and Nod32 are also good programs, but I have not used them yet myself.

Norton, and McAfee, products are not Outlook Express friendly, and I don't know of any OE-MVP that would recommend using them.

But, check your settings. I believe this is the correct way:

Did you uninstall "Norton" via Add/Remove Programs and then run the Norton Removal Tool?...

Did you disable McAfee's email scanning?

Do copies of messages you send to yourself appear in Sent Items folder (assuming you have this option enabled)?

Check you Blocked Senders list (Tools, Message Rules, Blocked Senders).
You may have accidentally blocked yourself.

Also, if you are running any anti-spam software on your PC, or your ISP
does, check the spam (junk, trash, bulk, etc.) folder to see if the
messages might be going there.

Yes, I did.

I think I got it, now. I also removed the Norton Anti-spam folder, then changed my outgoing port from 25 to 587
