I just started using Outlook Express. I have moved my 3 comcast e-mail
accounts over to Outlook, but would like to view them in separate folders. Instead, Outlook threw them all together into one. Is there any way of doing this? Thanks, Christine |

I don't understand what you mean by viewing in three separate folders.
Are you now using Outlook Express, or Outlook. They are different programs. If you are using OE, do you want it set up so you have to use Switch Identity to go to another account? -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Christine" wrote in message ... If you are using POP3 access, all POP3 accounts within an identity share
the same local folders. You have several options: 1) Put each account in it's own identity How to Create and Use Identities in Outlook Express http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=209169 But if Multiple e-mail addresses feed into a single server POP3 account You will be limited on properly separating the mail. In this case, all accounts use the same Logon Using in OE at Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, Servers. This is the poorest ISP support. You must use message rules to not download messages for the other e-mail addresses. If the accounts have different logon using settings, this won't be a problem. 2) Leave the accounts in a single identity, but use Message Rules to move the messages to different folders based on the account (if they have different logon using settings) or e-mail address if they don't. 3) If the ISP offers IMAP access, use that instead of POP3. You'll need to remove the accounts then add them again specifying IMAP instead of the default of POP3. Check with the ISP to see if this is an option. Some offer it, most don't. With IMAP, each account gets it's own folders. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Christine" wrote in message ... I just started using Outlook Express. Thanks, Christine I use message rules like this: Apply this rule after the message arrives Where the message is from the mail.fjsmjs.com account Move it to the fjsmjs folder and Stop processing more rules -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Answer in newsgroup.
