Default multipart mail

When I send a mail + attach (.pps file) , having only 400 kb total size, it
automatically splits up into10 multipart mails (each ~40kb) in the
receiver's mailbox. Has this something to do with my settings?

Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced. Uncheck: "Break apart
messages........".
