Some have 1000's of postings Is there any way to limit the number postings downloaded when I synchronize the accounts?

not when using the SYNC.
you can set to read XX messages at a time, but you have to manually select each group to do so. once you have read enough in each group, then do a CATCH UP on that group. after you have done this for each group then you can use the SYNC command. another suggestion.
create a rule to mark messages over xx days as read. then go ahead and use the SYNC, might take a while. use VIEW setting of HIDE READ. "Neil Hampshire" wrote in message ...
