You put a subject in the Subject field, and your question in the message
body.

See this for newsgroups about Pit Bulls:

But more importantly, you are running a very outdated and less secure
version of Windows, Internet Explorer, and Outlook Express. Please go to
Windows Updates and download at least all critical updates ASAP.

And if they don't understand why, its because the spell checker doesn't work

spell check.
