Will whoever please answer this msg again. When I tried the suggestions My
computer froze up and I lost my mailbox and all internet connectivity. I have been able to shuffle some things over from another computer. The WinXP disk didn't have the CAP....dll file on it so it couldn't expand it. I d/l the file from a site you mentioned but it wouldn't install because it would only accept .cab files and this was a .dll file. I'm getting deeper and deeper in the hole here. I had to download the Registery repair file from the page with the downloadable dll and it found 187 errors on a newly installed version of XP. Thanks "Ron" wrote in message ... Unfortunately, it did and I still don't have a spell checker. I spent two
days freshly formatting and installing XP and I won't go thru that again. " mac" wrote in message ... "Ron" wrote in message ... Will whoever please answer this msg again. ... Word for Windows 97. It gives me all I need and I have used it with this version of XP before I reinstalled. You are probably missing CSAPI3T1.DLL in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\PROOF You can expand it from CSAPI3T1.DL_ in the \i386 directory on your WinXP CD. Go to Start | Run and type this command: expand x:\i386\CSAPI3T1.DL_ C:\CSAPI3T1.DLL Where X: is your CD drive. Then move it from the root directory of C: to the PROOF folder. Some people also have to put it in the Outlook Express program folder.
