Default Favoreites Maintenance

Hi all,

Has anyone come across a tool or method to verify good/bad address entries
contained in the Favorites file?

Whenever I come across a bad or changed link I take care of it, but ... it'd
be nice if there was a way to auto-check the validity of each entry.

Thanks in Advance,

Pop`

Not that I'm aware of, but URLs and Favorites would be an Internet Explorer
issue.

For Internet Explorer questions not pertaining to Outlook Express, please
post to one of the following:

IE6 Specific Newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...er.ie6.browser

IE General newsgroup, (For IE6 and IE7):

Go to http://www.aignes.com/download.htm and download "dead links".
This free program will check your favorites file for dead or changed URLs.

Darn, I thought that was going to be a good solution, but as soon as it gets
to ten or twenty sites checked, everything going further becomes an "error",
but isn't. Somehow, it puts XP Pro's IE7 into a mode where it refuses to
work anymore. In my case, I had to reboot to get it back.

So, I guess the moral of the story is; probably a great prog, but not for
IE7, including when "internal" is chosen (as is default) for doing the
checks.

Thanks anyway,

Pop`

Good point; I forgot I had IE7 here! Thanks for the reminder.
