OE uses another program's dictionary for spell checks. Finish installing.

Hi jaydub,

OE uses the spell check from Word/Office 2003 or earlier. The latest version
does not work with OE. There are free spell checkers available on the Web,
however. Bruce likes Vampirefo.

You would need to have Microsoft Word or Works installed.

If you do not then use a 3rd party Spell checking app

I helped a friend purchase a new Dell last month. They have full Office
installed and use OE for email. When checking the spelling in all outgoing
messages, every single word (I'm not exaggerating) gets a red squiggly under
it and they have to cancel the spell check to send the mail. Since Office is
on the computer, including Word, how do I fix this for them?

You would do better to start your own thread in the future rather that latch
on to one that is almost a year old. I only keep posts for ten days.

Windows XP? What version of Office?
