Over the last few months, I have sporadically lost a number of
messages, and in some cases, all the messages in a folder- and
sometimes, the complete folder.


At first, I thought it was an internet worm or a virus, and Adaware
did find five critical objects( I hadn't scanned for a few months.)

I looked at a number of postings in this group, and it occurred to me
that I let OE compact automatically, and I interrupted the compacting
in a few instances. Could this have caused the loss of messages?

I since have downloaded OE express and hopefully will have no problems
in the future.

Suggestions?
